As a Trailer Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in driving sales growth, maximizing custome satisfaction, and helping customers throughout the entire buying process — from first contact through delivery and follow-up.
What We’re Looking For:

This role requires a self-motivated individual who understands the importance of communication, follow-up, product knowledge, attention to detail, and ownership.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development

- Actively identify opportunities across trailer sales, parts, accessories, financing, service, GPS systems, rentals, and add-on products.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals, margin expectations, KPIs, and upsell targets.
- Guide customers through purchasing decisions using product knowledge, service, and value-based selling.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, trailer applications, and new products.
- Assist customers with trailer hook-ups, walkarounds, and professional deliveries to ensure a safeband positive ownership experience.
- Attend training sessions, product training, and dealership meetings to continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills.
CRM Utilization & Process Management
- Utilize the CRM system consistently to track leads, customer interactions, follow-up tasks, and sales progress.
- Maintain accurate and organized customer records, quotes, and sales documentation.
- Execute consistent follow-up procedures with walk-in, phone, and online leads.
- Understand that response time, communication, and follow-through directly impact sales success and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain strict discipline with CRM documentation, ensuring walk-ins, phone calls, and online leads are recorded accurately with no overdue tasks or leads left unresolved at the close of each shift.
- Ensure customer communication remains professional, timely, and solution-oriented.
Customer Engagement & Finance Sales
- Provide honest, transparent, and professional communication throughout the buying process.
- Educate customers on financing options, warranties, parts, accessories, and aftermarket products that improve ownership experience and value.
- Professionally handle customer concerns, objections, and difficult situations while maintaining composure and strong communication.
- Work to create long-term customer relationships rather than focusing solely on one-time transactions.
- Ensure trailers, custom orders, and quoted products are accurate and delivered correctly the first time.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Rentals: Assist rental customers and provide recommendations when rental staff is unavailable.
- Parts: Support over-the-counter parts sales and actively promote parts-to-sales opportunities.
- Service: Assist with service drop-offs, pick-ups, and service-related sales opportunities when needed.
- Operations: Assist with lot organization, trailer presentation, and maintaining a professional dealership appearance.
- Team Support: Work collaboratively across departments and assist where needed to support overall dealership success.
This Role Is a Great Fit If You:
- Operate with integrity, honesty, and professionalism in every customer interaction.
- Take ownership of your work and follow through on commitments.
- Understand how to confidently guide customers through decisions using value, service, and product knowledge.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Understand the importance of speed, responsiveness, and communication.
- Are disciplined with CRM usage, organization, and follow-up.
- Are comfortable using modern technology, digital communication, and social media tools as part of the sales process.
- Are exceptionally self-aware, highly observant of surroundings, and possess active listening skills to lock onto precise customer needs.
- Are mechanically inclined and willing to continuously learn product and technical knowledge.
- Value teamwork and are willing to support all areas of the dealership when needed.
- Take pride in professionalism, attention to detail, and creating an exceptional customer experience.
- Are looking for a long-term career where effort, consistency, and performance directly impact your success.
This Role May Not Be the Right Fit If You:
- Prefer a transactional sales approach instead of building long-term customer relationships.
- Are unwilling to consistently follow process, documentation, and CRM expectations.
- Are uncomfortable engaging customers through phone calls, follow-up communication, digital outreach, or Marketplace activity.
- Do not value teamwork, collaboration, and helping in multiple areas of the dealership.
- Are unwilling to learn parts, service, financing, accessories, and additional dealership operations.
- Struggle with attention to detail, organization, or consistent communication.
- Are not comfortable handling difficult conversations or customer concerns professionally.
- Prefer waiting for opportunities instead of proactively generating business and follow-up activity.
- Are unwilling to contribute to dealership appearance, lot organization, and overall team success.
- Are looking for a strict 8 to 5 position, or are unwilling to come in early or stay late when a deal requires it.
- Are unable or unwilling to work a rotating schedule that requires working every third Saturday.
- Lack a basic mechanical aptitude or are unwilling to aggressively learn the high-standard technical details of trailer specs and applications.
- Focus exclusively on the “big sale” of the major unit while ignoring other opportunities in parts, service, financing, and related areas.
- Struggle to hold your ground on value-based pricing and confidently close deals in a professional way without relying on quick discounts.
Why Work With Us?
- Growth opportunities in a dynamic, fast-growing company.
- A collaborative team environment that values your contributions.
- The chance to make a real difference while pursuing your own passions.
