Our History
Visto’s Trailer Sales began in West Fargo with a simple goal: to offer reliable trailers and dependable service to the community. Over time, what started as a small, local dealership has grown into a trusted resource for trailer sales and repair across North Dakota and Minnesota. By consistently expanding our trailer inventory, service department, and knowledgeable staff, we have built a reputation as one of the best trailer dealers in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
Company Timeline
1997 - Jaye Visto Founded Visto’s Trailer Sales
Back in 1997, Jaye Visto founded and opened up the original Visto’s Trailer Sales location to the East of its current location on a small 1 acre lot, which at that time was in the middle of what seemed to be nowhere. Jaye began with selling open and enclosed trailers which quickly grew into the Fargo/Moorhead’s go to destination for all your trailer needs.
2000 - New Location
What started as a small building on a 1 acre lot grew into a 3 acre lot along with a new building on the property to the West with all new concrete. This property and building has since developed into the main headquarters for Visto’s Trailer Sales including a complete lineup of parts, sales, service, and rentals.
2010 - John Nore Purchased Visto’s Trailer Sales
John Nore, born and raised in Kenmare, ND (and at that time the current owner of Nore’s Auto & Trailer Sales) purchased Visto’s Trailer Sales from Jaye Visto in April of 2010. The business was purchased as a turn key operation with at that time 5 employees. John Nore was a sub dealer for Visto’s at the time and looking to make a move into a larger city which made the purchase and move natural. This marked the beginning of an incredible journey.
2012 - Renovation of the Interior
Owner, John Nore was always looking for ways to make for a better customer experience and the next step was a complete renovation. The entire showroom was gutted and while operations continued, a complete renovation was underway including flooring, new offices, a new parts counter, and much much more. This renovation allowed for parts to be better laid out on the floor and a much better customer experience.
2014 - Introduction of Truck Beds
Visto’s was looking for another product line to complement the business and truck bed installations was the most natural selection being many manufacturers that build trailers, build truck beds as well. Visto’s now carries multiple truck bed brands from some of the best manufacturers in the industry.
2017 - Expansion Begins
Visto’s was out of space and bursting at its seams. Owner John Nore worked a deal with the adjacent property owner to the west allowing for the expansion of an additional 2 acres. This expansion allowed for double the space and therefore double the inventory which didn’t take long to do. This property was fully developed and concreted over the course of the next couple years.
2019 - Back to the Beginning
In February 2019, Brenco – the business owning the adjacent property to the East of Visto’s – was moving into its new facility, and John was ready to expand again. Brenco worked out a deal to sell the property to Visto’s Trailer Sales which allowed for another much needed lot expansion along with more offices and shop space.
2020 - NATDA Recognition Spotlight
Visto’s Trailer Sales is sponsored in the November 2020 NATDA Spotlight (North American Trailer Dealers Association) for being a top tier dealer in the United States along with its commitment to continued growth in the trailer industry.
2025 - Continued Growth Over The Years
Visto’s Trailer Sales has grown from 5 team members back in 2010 to over 20 in 2025, along with now carrying over 300 open and enclosed trailers along with a full selection of truck beds. Visto’s has tripled its parts inventory and service technicians, along with growing its rental fleet to 20+ rentals. 2025 also marked 15 great years of leadership under current owner John Nore!
